Frequently Asked Questions
|     Q.    |     Can I add new or modify the existing keyword search labels? |
|     A.    |     The keyword label list is completely modifiable. The only rule is that keywords need to be unique and must also be in the first column of the database. |
|     Q.    |     Can I change the summary formats? |
|     A.    |     The labor, general condition, quote and summary areas are only arranged to suite most users. They can be any layout you wish so feel free to modify them to suit your needs. We do recommend that if you modify them that you reinstitute the reference crosscheck table. |
|     Q.    |     Do I need to be concerned about the totals and summations? |
|     A.    |     Yes! Remember that when doing an estimate in Excel you are ultimately responsibility for reviewing the spreadsheet for proper formulas, references and general correctness. We provide the check estimate function and crosscheck tables. Excel is great, but it only simplifies the estimating process. The responsibility for correctness is the users. |
|     Q.    |     Can I build my own assemblies? |
|     A.    |     Absolutely, each item can exist as many times as you wish in the database. For this reason you can make up as many similar assemblies as space in Excel permits. |
|     Q.    |     Will the program work with future versions of Excel? |
|     A.    |     Unknown. The program has worked (with minor modifications) for the last 16 years. Microsoft has been very good about backward compatibility. We have over the years modified the system to allow for the minor changes to Excel’s underlying requirements. Still there is no guarantee as to the continuing usability. |
|     Q.    |     Will the system work with 64bit computer systems? |
|     A.    |     Unknown. If someone has more knowledge, please let us know and we will update this answer. |
|     Q.    |     Can I return the program if for any reason I am not satisfied after purchase? |
|     A.    |     Yes; 30 day no questions asked.     |
